“Horrorwood Drive-In” Scarezone, Universal Studios Florida, 2009
On this date in 1969, William H. Pratt, better known to the world as Boris Karloff, died in Sussex, England. Karloff was an incredibly versatile actor in his time, though he is most famous for his iconic performances in Universal Pictures’ “The Mummy” and “Frankenstein” film series.
Karloff’s contributions to Universal history are still evident today: his portrayals of Imhotep and “Frankenstein’s Monster” are horror favorites and have made appearances at HHN many times throughout the years.
Karloff’s voice can also be heard narrating the perennial Christmas favorite, “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
