“Catacombs: Black Death Rising,” Universal Studios Florida, 2010.
In 1534, a terrible plague swept through the village of Carae, France. Those stricken with the disease were quarantined in the city’s catacombs, which were later sealed by desperate doctors.
The ruins of Carae were later discovered and, in mid excavation, opened for an exhibition called “L’Innocent: Une Etude de la Peste Noire,” or “The Innocent: A Study of the Black Death.” Unbeknownst to the excavators, descendants of those original plague victims have survived, and now they’re out for revenge.
