30 Days of Halloween Horror Nights: Which HHN Event at Another Park Would You Most Like to Visit?
In the past decade, the Halloween Horror Nights phenomenon has grown exponentially in popularity. Universal Studios Hollywood’s event has gone “from barely 2 mazes in 2006 to 7 in 2014,” while house wait times at HHN Orlando commonly reach 120 minutes or more.
The other Universal Studios parks have noticed these crowds (and the revenue they generate). Beginning in 2011, Halloween Horror Nights went international by expanding to both Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore. And, while Hollywood and Orlando typically share house and scarezone concepts, these two newer events typically offer much more original, unique attractions.
That’s our long-winded setup to today’s question: which HHN event (other than the one that you currently visit regularly) would you most like to visit?
For us, the answer is simple: Universal Studios Singapore. From their original Icons (a concept which has been mostly abandoned in the domestic parks) to their experimental scarezones (see 2013’s “Convention of Curses” scarezone at Dejiki.com) to their uniquely-Asian themes (“House 13: Possessions” maze), Singapore’s HHN is an ambitious event that gets better each and every year.
