30 Days of Halloween Horror Nights: What’s Your All-Time Favorite Vampire-Themed House or Scarezone?
From my memory, Halloween Horror Nights 14’s “Castle Vampyr” was the first vampire house that I ever experienced, and it left an indelible impression on me. Now, most of the specifics have grown fuzzy, but a couple of moments still stand out in my mind.
After passing through the doors of Soundstage 23 and into the darkness of the interior, one was immediately faced with the large stone edifice of Castle Vampyr itself. In my memory, the castle was immense and impressively carved from large stones. After winding through the shadowy halls of the castle, I was faced with a scene that, at the time, was new and very impressive: vampire sirens in billowy robes who soared back and forth over my head. While I’ve seen this effect used many times since, no other occurrences have been as impressive as that first appearance in Castle Vampyr.
